KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great' (336-323 BC). Tetradrachm. (27mm, 16.46 g) Amphipolis. Obv: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin. Rev: AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ. Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre. Controls: In left field, Λ above torch; monogram below throne.
