ANONYMOUS FOLLIS. Class B. Attributed to Romanus III (1028-1034 AD). AE, Follis. (30mm, 11.8 g) Obv: + EMMA NOVHΛ / IC - XC. Bust of Christ facing, holding book of Gospels and wearing nimbus cruciger; sqaare in each arm of cross; four pellets around one pellet in centre on book of Gospels. Rev: IS - XC / bASILE / bASILE. Legend in three lines divided by cross set on three steps.
