Description
MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AE half-unit (16mm, 4.7 g). Early posthumous issue of Salamis, ca. 323-315 BC. Macedonian shield, decorated with five groups of double crescents separated single crescents facing the opposite inward, boss with facing head of gorgoneion / B-A, Macedonian helmet, caduceus below.
