LYDIA. Thyateira. Commodus, 177-192. (Bronze, 37mm, 20.8 g), struck under Marcus Aurelius, by the strategos L. Aurelius Demostratos, circa 178-179. Obverse: ΑVΤΟ ΚΑΙ Λ ΑVΡ[Η ΚΟΜΟΔ]ΟϹ; laureate-headed bust of Commodus (youthful) wearing cuirass and paludamentum, r., seen from front / Reverse: ΕΠΙ ϹΤΡΑ Λ ΑVΡΗ ΔΗΜΟϹΤΡΑΤοV ΘVΑΤΕΙΡΗΝΩΝ; emperor (Marcus Aurelius?) on horseback, r., raising arm.
