Rare. Toned, area of weakness on reverse, otherwise extremely fine

This rare and attractive denarius honouring Minerva an Hercules allude to the forthcoming struggle with the repubblican forces led by Brutus and Cassius. The gooddess of war, the consort of Jupiter, and the legendary hero are invoked as powerfull allies of the Triumvirs in their quest to avenge the murder of Caesar.
