Calabria, Tarentum Nomos circa 315-300, AR 22.5mm., 7.70g. Naked ephebos on prancing horse right, holding in l. hand, reins, shield and two spears and striking with spear in r.; in upper l. field, E; beneath horse, API. Rev. TA – PAΣ Taras naked, seated on dolphin left, holding cantharus with extended r. hand and oar; below KΛ. Fischer-Bossert 923. Vlasto 636 (these dies). SNG ANS 1015 (these dies). Lightly toned and about extremely fine.
