Attica, Athens New style tetradrachm circa 137-136, AR 31.00 mm., 16.47 g.
Head of Athena Parthenos r., wearing necklace, pendent earring, and triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with the protomes of four horses above the visor, a Pegasos in flight rightward above the raised earpiece, and a curvilinear ornament on the shell. Rev. Owl standing r., head facing, on amphora; A-ӨE above MI/KI ӨEO/ΦPA (magistrates’ names) in three lines across field; to r., Nike driving quadriga right; [Ξ] on amphora, ME below; all within wreath. Thompson 318e.
