Denarius, Lugdunum 8 BC, AR 3.78 g. AVGVSTVS – DIVI F Laureate head r. Rev. Augustus, togate, seated l. on stool on platform, extending r. hand to infant held out by cloaked male figure; in exergue, IMP XIIII. C 175. BMC 494. RIC 201a. CBN 1455.
Rare and in unusually fine condition for the issue. Light iridescent tone
and about extremely fine / extremely fine
Privately purchased from Harlan J. Berk at the NYINC in 2008.
