Hadrian augustus, 117 – 138. Aureus 134-138, AV 6.95 g. Bare head l. Rev. Hispania reclining l., holding branch in r. hand and resting l. arm on rock behind; in front, rabbit. C 828. RIC 305. Calicó 1273 (these dies).
Very rare. A very attractive portrait and an interesting reverse composition, a small
banker’s mark has been expertly restored, after NAC K auction, below the bust,
otherwise about extremely fine
