Aureus 74, AV 7.24 g. IMP CAESAR – VESPASIANVS AVG Laureate head r. Rev. FORTVNA – AVGVST Fortuna standing l. on garlanded altar decorated with rams' heads, holding rudder in r. hand and cornucopia in l. C 172. BMC 275 and pl. 8, 10 (this reverse die). RIC 699. CBN 246. Calicó 631.
Rare. A very unusual and interesting portrait struck in high relief on a full flan.
Almost invisible brush marks on obverse field at two o'clock,
otherwise good extremely fine
