Nomos circa 525-500, AR 8.11 g. ΚΑVΛ Apollo, diademed, walking r., holding laurel branch in upraised r. hand and small daimon running r. in outstretched l.; in r. field, stag on platform, with head reverted. Rev. The same type incuse l. without legend. Noe, Caulonia Group A.2p (this coin). SNG ANS 141 (these dies). SNG Lloyd 572 (these dies). Historia Numorum Italy 2035.
Perfectly struck and centred on a full flan and with a magnificent
old cabinet tone. Good extremely fine
