Reccared I, 586 – 601. Baetica, Cordoba.   Tremissis circa 568-601, AV 1.493 g. (SG 16.22, Au 76.9%) + RECCΛREDVCREX Facing bust. Rev. + CORDObΛBIV~ Facing bust. Miles 82f (for the obverse) and 82e (for the reverse). CNV 66.7 var. MEC I, 215 var. MV 100i.2 (this coin, Bartlett 30).

The facing bust style of the coins from Cordoba, from the rare examples of Leovigild until Chindasvinth, is unique and distinctive, and often referred to as the Cordoban type.
