Tetradrachm unsigned work by Eukleidas, circa 413-399, AR 17.21 g. Fast quadriga driven l. by charioteer holding reins and kentron; above, Nike flying r., carrying in one hand a wreath to crown him. In exergue, [corn ear]. Rev. Head of nymph Arethusa l., wearing sphendone and ampyx ornamented with stars; around, four dolphins. Boston, MFA 419 (these dies). Gulbenkian 296 (these dies). Very rare. Superb old cabinet tone and of excellent style, struck on a
narrow flan, otherwise good very fine
