Nomos circa 300, AR 7.90 g. Head of Athena r., wearing crested Corinthian helmet, bowl decorated with Scylla hurling stone, earring and necklace; behind, K. Rev. |-HPAKLHIWN Heracles standing facing, head slightly to r., holding club, lion's skin and bow with arrow; in upper l. field, jug and AQA. Work, ANSNNM 91, 65. Van Keuren 86. Historia Numorum Italy 1384.
Unusually well centred and with a lovely old cabinet tone, obverse
from a worn die, otherwise about extremely fine
