Smyrna. Pseudo-autonomous issues. Time of Gordian III (238-244). Bronze, Pollianus, eparchos circa 238-244, Æ 6.50g. IEPA CV – NKΛHTOC Draped bust of Senate r. Rev. CMVP Γ NE – EΠ – ΠΩΛΛI – ANOV Two draped Nemeses standing facing each another, the one on r. holding rod and the one on l. reins; below, wheel at the feet of the Nemesis on r.; both touching cloth below their chin. Klose 1 (VS14/R1). BMC 241 var. (slightly different reverse die). SNG von Aulock 7991 (these dies). SNG Copenhagen 1317.
