French (uncertain date), Unknown Man, uniface tin/lead alloy medal, CONTINVER SANS ESTRE LAS (“continue without being there”), bust right wearing hat and flanked by two shields; the blank reverse with a largely illegible French inscription in black ink, 60mm, twice pierced, an extremely fine cast of uncertain date, apparently unrecorded Provenance: John R.
