France, Italian Campaign and Légion d’Honneur Group of 4 awarded to Marechal-des-Logis Louis Philippe, Artillery, comprising: Légion d’Honneur, Third Republic, Knight’s breast badge, in silver, gilt and enamels; Médaille Militaire Napoleon III; Italy Campaign 1859; Franco-Prussian War 1870-71, in silver, 36.3mm; others (2) in bronze, 29.7mm, one with ‘Éngage Volontaire’ clasp and gilt Veteran’s medal, mainly very fine (8) louis Philippe joined 11th Regiment of Artillery 20 December 1851, promoted to Marechal-des-Logis 12 February 1856, served in the Italian Campaign from May 1859-June 1860; served in the Franco-Prussian War from 28 July 1870.
