Queen’s South Africa, 1899-1902, 3rd type reverse, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Wittebergen, South Africa 1901 (Lieut. J. J. Bell. 17/Co. 6/ Impl. Yeo.), officially engraved in sloping capitals, with reverse pin for wear upon ribbon, lightly toned, extremely fine and lustrous Lieutenant J. J. Bell is confirmed on the Q.S.A. Medal Roll as having served with the 17th (Ayrshire Lanarkshire) Company, 6th Imperial Yeomanry with entitlement as above. He is recorded as having received a mention in despatches on 10 September 1901.
