Queen’s South Africa, 1899-1902, 3rd type reverse, 2 clasps, Transvaal, South Africa 1901 (5866 Pte E. B. Barnes, Devon: Regt), attractively toned, extremely fine Private E. B. Barnes of the 2nd Battalion Devonshire Regiment, died of disease at Newcastle, South Africa, on 8 November 1901. His entitlement is confirmed on the Q.S.A. Medal Roll as above.
