Queen’s South Africa, 1899-1902, 3rd type reverse, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State (6817 Sapper T. J. McGuinness, Rl: Engrs:), extremely fine, with some lustre Sapper T. J. McGuinness is confirmed on the Q.S.A. Medal Roll as having served with the 1st Telegraph Division, Royal Engineers with 2-clasp entitlement as above, and the K.S.A. Medal Roll shows that he is also entitled to a K.S.A. with clasp South Africa 1901. He died of disease at Warringham's on 17 May 1901.
