Scott, 1st Bn 12th Regt.); Pair loose, apparently with original ribbons, heavy contact marks to first, good fine to very fine (2) The Indian Mutiny Medal Roll shows that 3 Privates of the name Private James Scott served with the 72nd Highlanders during the India Mutiny, all with the same entitlement to the clasp Central India (one of whom died on 15 September 1858). 640 Private James Scott later joined the 1st Battalion, 12th (East Suffolk) Regiment and served in New Zealand between 1861 and 1866 (roll confirms).
