*Spanish Colonial, a cast gold ingot, circa 1750, with engraved ‘ΛV’ (?) monogram and Roman number ‘XXXXVI’, width 103.5mm, 1126.09g, .921 fine, good very fine condition. Ex The Uruguayan Treasure of the River Plate, Sotheby’s New York, 24-25 March 1993, lot 245. Offered with a recent Assay Report prepared by Sheffield Assay Office.
