*Egypt & Sudan, 1882-89, undated reverse, 2 clasps, The Nile 1884-85, Abu Klea (J. Rowbottom, Corpl. R.M.L.I.), impressed in upright capitals, unit naming slightly weak from wear, light surface pitting from contact with star, minor reverse bruise, otherwise very fine. Corporal John Rowbottom is confirmed on the Egypt & Sudan Medal Roll as having served with the Royal Marine Light Infantry, with clasp entitlement as above. He appears to have been serving aboard H.M.S. Superb.
