Description

*Military General Service, 1793-1814, 3 clasps, Vittoria, Orthes, Toulouse (James Binfield, 15th Hussars), minor edge bruise, good very fine. Private James Binfield, of Hurrick, Hampshire, is confirmed on the M.G.S. medal roll, with the original roll confirming his service in Thackwell’s Troop. He was also present at Waterloo (his name being given as Bingfield on the roll), and is included in the Regimental History’s nominal roll of N.C.O.s and Privates who had distinguished themselves in the Peninsula, the South of France, or at Waterloo.
