Valerio Belli (1468-1546), Hercules with Minerva, Venus and Cupid, oval bronze plaquette, Hercules seated on the left before standing figures of Minerva, holding olive branch and spear, and Venus clasping the hand of Cupid; in ex., INSTAR, 48 x 41mm (cf. Molinier 288; Gasparotto 124), pierced, very fine contemporary cast with some tooling. Cast on an unusually thick flan (7mm) and without the border found on recorded examples - possibly an unfinished trial piece.
