Brutus, denarius, 42 BC, CASCA LONGVS, head of Neptune right with trident below, rev., BRVTVS IMP, Victory advancing right on broken sceptre, holding palm and diadem, 3.79g (Cr. 507/2; Syd. 1298), corrosion by IMP on reverse, flan flaw on obverse above head, otherwise extremely fine and toned. Provenance: Kunst & Münzen, Lugano, 7 October 1982, lot 386.
