Kushan Dynasty, Vasishka (247-267 CE), Gold Dinar, "Ardokhsho" type, Subsidiary Mint probably Taxila, Obv: the king, crowned and nimbate, standing facing left, sacrificing over an altar, a ribboned trident surmounts the altar, holding a standard in his left hand, Brahmi initials "Ga" next to the altar, "Vi" between the legs, Rev: the goddess Ardokhsho enthroned, nimbate, facing forward, holding a cornucopia in her left hand and a diadem in her extended right hand, Brahmi legend "APΔOXþO" on the right field, tamgha on the upper-left field, dotted border around the field, 7.75g, 20.10mm, (Gobl # 568A.1/Jongward & Cribb # 1614-15), choice extremely fine, Very Rare.
