K&A # 807), choice extremely fine, Extremely Rare. Note: This is an extremely important gold fanam bearing two Vaishnavite symbols, the Varaha and the Vadakalai. This depiction shows the strong influence of the God Venkateshwara on the rulers of the Vijayanagara Empire. In our Printed Auction No. 33, a similar coin was sold for 2.4 Lakhs.
