Note: The first banknote in 10 Rupees with the portrait of King George V which was released in May 1923. This whole series is fascinating with variations in the placement of serial numbers, watermark varieties and signatories. The 'Star of India' and a motto was used on the reverse. This banknote is of the type printed in England with the serial number on the top-left and bottom-right.
