★ Very rare Caracalla denarius ★

Roman Empire - Geta as caesar bronze sestertius (25,73 g., 33 mm.). Minted in Rome, 209 A.D.

P SEPTIMIVS GETA CAES Laureate head of Geta to right.

PONTIF. COS II. S / C. Minerva seated left, holding owl and resting left elbow on shield; spear or sceptre under arm.

Not in RIC as sestertius, only dupondius or as (RIC. 149). Extremely rare!

Good fine, green original patina.
