Description

Roman Empire - Gallienus, joint reign (253-268 A.D.) Silver antoninianus (3,18 g., 22 mm.). Minted in Samosata, AD 255-256.

IMP C P LIC GALLIENVS P F AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gallienus right, seen from behind.

PIETAS AVGG, Valerian and Gallienus standing facing each other, both holding scepters. Altar between them, wreath above.

RIC V.I 446 var.

Good very fine condition.
