Roman Empire - Cantabrian Wars. Augustus (27 BC - 14 A.D.) bronze As (9.01 g., 28 mm.). Lucus Augusti mint, Lugo. IMP AVG DIVI F. Augusto's head on the left, behind caduceus, in front of palm. Countmarked with the eagle head usual legionary mark in many colonial coins minted in North of Spain but very rare on a Lucus coin!!!!!! Frontal shield view. FAB 1706. Good fine condition, original orange-green patina. Extremely rare sample with legionary count stamp!!!
