Scotland National Bank of Scotland 5 Pounds Pick 259d (Calloway-Murphy NA57, BY SC512f) Seventh issue now featuring the Banks Coat of Arms instead of the Royal Arms as required by the Lord Lyon King of Arms and dated 3rd January 1953 serial number C989-357 printed signatures Alexander S O Dandie titled Cashier & John Allan Brown titled General Manager. The note in blue on red yellow underprint featuring the Bank's Coat of Arms at upper centre, portrait of Schomberg Henry Kerr, 9th Marquess of Lothian at left and a view of Edinburgh Castle at right on obverse and the reverse in blue with an elaborate guilloche panel and view of Edinburgh at centre. Printed by Waterlow & Sons, London England imprinted in small panels on obverse and reverse lower centre. In a large PMG holder and graded Choice About UNC 58 EPQ, Exceptional Paper Quality.
