Description

Shrewsbury and Welshpool Bank 5 Pounds unissued & unsigend remainder circa 1800-80s number 8002 for Beck, Beck & Phillips, (Outing 1958L, Grant 2670), about VF, Shields at uppper centre obverse and guiloche pannel with large 5 on reverse, printed by Perkins, Bacon & Petch, London Patent Hardened Steel Plate. The lot comes with a circulating Comemmorative George V Silver (.500) Crown dated 1935 commemorating the 25th anniversary of accession of King George V KM# 842, Sp# 4048. Obverse uncrowned George V portrait and reverse St. George slaying the dragon, the edge with the latin inscription "* DECUS ET TUTAMEN * ANNO REGNI XXV" (An ornament and a safeguard 25th year of reign)
