★ Beautifully toned and attractive ★

KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 17.20 g, 2 h), Amphipolis, struck under Antipater, circa 325-323/2. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, kerykeion. Price 99. Beautifully toned and attractive. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.

From an old Swiss collection, formed in the 1970s.
