★ A beautifully toned Campano-Tarentine didrachm or nomos ★

CALABRIA. Tarentum. Campano-Tarentine series, circa 281-228 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.25 g, 12 h). Diademed head of a nymph to left, wearing triple-pendant earring and necklace. Rev. TA Nude youth riding horse walking to right, raising his right hand to crown the horse's head; below, dolphin right; to upper left, cornucopiae. HN Italy 1098. SNG ANS 1289. SNG Paris 1988. Vlasto 1017. Beautifully toned. A few very minor marks on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.

From an old Swiss collection, formed in the 1970s.
