SASANIAN KINGS. Shahpur I, 240-272. Dinar (Gold, 22 mm, 7.18 g, 4 h), mint I ('Ktesiphon'), circa 244-252/3. Draped bust of Shahpur I to right, bearded and wearing mural crown with korymbos. Rev. Fire altar flanked by two attendants looking outward. Göbl pl. 2, 21. Saeedi AV9. Sunrise 739. Struck on a broad flan. Nearly extremely fine.
