Description

BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 350-300 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.83 g, 4 h). Eagle with spread wings standing left on olive branch. Rev. KPO Tripod with ornamental volutes below the bowl and legs ending in lion's paws; to right, crane standing left on Δ. HN Italy 2174. SNG ANS 367-368. The obverse weakly struck and with some flan faults on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.

From a European collection, formed before 2005.
