LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.83 g, 1 h). Bearded head of Leukippos to right, wearing Corinthian helmet; behind, head of a roaring lion to right. Rev. META Barley ear with leaf to left; above leaf, vertical club with head below; below leaf, AMI. HN III 1575. Johnston B 2. SNG ANS 434. A bright and attractive coin. Very light deposits on the reverse edge, otherwise, good very fine.

From a European collection, formed before 2005.
