Description

CAMPANIA. Compulteria. Circa 265-240 BC. AE (Bronze, 20 mm, 5.33 g, 12 h). 'kumpulterum' (in Oscian) Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. Man-headed bull walking to right; above, Nike flying right to crown the bull; below, IΣ. HN Italy 437; SNG ANS 230. Light pitting, otherwise, nearly very fine.

From an old Swiss collection, formed in the early 20th century (with collector's ticket) and acquired from Cahn.
