CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Redones. Circa 60-50 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 6.61 g, 5 h), 'au profil imberbe' type. Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Devolved charioteer, driving cart drawn by a centaur to right, holding reins in his right hand and long branch ending in a vexillum-like banner in his left; below, wheel. DT 2314. LT 6774. Nicely toned and unusually complete. Very fine.
