★ A beautifully toned stater from Medma ★
BRUTTIUM. Medma. Circa 330-320 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 8.66 g, 2 h). Pegasus flying left. Rev. Head of Athena to left, wearing Corinthian helmet. Calciati 1/6 ( same dies ). HNS Italy 2425. A bright and attractive piece with lovely golden toning around the devices. Extremely fine.
From the collection of Dr. P. Vogl, privately purchased from E. Beckenbauer in 1983.
