Description

CELTIC, Southern Gaul. Uncertain tribe. Circa 2nd century BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 4.57 g), imitating Rhode. Devolved and disjointed head of Persephone to left. Rev. Rose seen from above, with central pellet and divided into four segments by a cross with floral pattern. Flesche 137. LT 2333. SLM -. Rare. Struck from worn dies, otherwise, very fine.
