ITALY. Rimini. Medal (Bronze, 31 mm, 15.72 g, 12 h), on Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, lord of Rimini. By Matteo de' Pasti, but a later aftercast, after 1447. SIGISMVNDVS PANDVLFVS•MALATESTA• Cuirassed bust of Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta to left. Rev. PONTIFICII•EXERCITVS•IMP•MCCCCXLVII Right arm holding palm branch coming out from a cloud. Armand 18; Hill 182; Pollard 25. Old and thorough cast with dark patina. Extremely fine.
