Description

★ CAVS instead of CAES ★

Crispus, Caesar, 316-326. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.14 g, 6 h), Heraclea, 324. CRISPVS NOB CAVS (sic!) Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Crispus to right. Rev. DOMINOR NOSTROR CAESS around wreath containing VOT / X above star; in exergue, SMHΓ. RIC 61 var. (obverse legend). Very rare with this interesting spelling error on the obverse. Repatinated and somewhat rough, otherwise, good very fine.
