★ Well struck and with a bold portrait ★

PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos, 285-246 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 14.15 g, 12 h), Tyre, RY 30 = 256/5. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around neck. Rev. ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ Eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt; to left, monogram of TYP above club; to right, Λ (date) above monogram of A and B; between eagle's legs, Θ. CPE 580. Svoronos 658. Well struck and with a bold portrait. Minor deposits and with a few light marks and scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
