LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.79 g, 7 h). Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple-pendant earring and simple necklace, and with a light veil at the back of her head; to left and right, A - [Π]. Rev. META Barley ear with leafs to right and left; above left leaf, tripod; above right leaf, ΠPO. HN Italy 1566. Johnston A7.2. Slightly rough, otherwise, good very fine.
