Description

LUCANIA. Herakleia. Circa 432-420 BC. Diobol (Silver, 12 mm, 1.04 g, 7 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested helmet decorated with a hippocamp. Rev. [HE] Herakles kneeling right, strangling the Nemean Lion. HN Italy 1360. Van Keuren 38. Darkly toned. Very fine.
