★ A very rare half stater from the Carnutes ★

CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Carnutes. Circa 50-30 BC. Half Stater (Gold, 15 mm, 3.63 g, 6 h). Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Bird flying right; above and to left, two fibula-shaped ornaments. DT -, cf. 2572 (with SOLIM YC). Very rare. Areas of weakness and with a small scrape on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
