ISLAMIC, Mongols. Chaghatayid Khans. temp. Qaidu, AH 668-700 / AD 1270-1301. Fals (Bronze, 19 mm, 1.85 g), Khujanda. Within a circle, ‘al-mulk lillāh / al-ḥamd lillāh’ (‘The kingdom is Allah’s. Praise be to Allah’ in Arabic). Rev. In a central circle, Qaidu’s tamgha; above and beneath, ‘sikka – Khujanda’ (‘The coin of Khujanda’ in Arabic). Album F1986. Zeno 4861. Rare. Areas of weakness and with some porosity, otherwise, fine.
